5 Sea Moss Smoothie Recipes to Try This Month
Five simple, fridge-friendly sea moss smoothie recipes using Signature, Green, Tropical, and Strawberry gel — no fancy equipment required.
Sea moss gel blends into almost any smoothie without changing the flavour much — its job is texture and minerals, not taste. Here are five simple combinations to start with, each built around one tablespoon of gel.
1. The Wake-Up Green Smoothie
A bright, easy morning smoothie built around our Green sea moss gel.
- 1 tbsp Green sea moss gel (moringa & spirulina)
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1 ripe mango, chopped
- 1 cup coconut water
- Ice, to taste
Blend everything until smooth. The mango balances the greens, and the coconut water keeps it light. This is close to the "Morning Spoon" ritual we run in-house — a 3-minute smoothie most people can make before work.
2. Tropical Pineapple-Mango Cooler
Built around our Tropical gel for something bright and quick.
- 1 tbsp Tropical sea moss gel (pineapple & mango)
- 1 cup pineapple chunks, frozen
- ½ cup mango, frozen
- ¾ cup coconut water or plain water
- Squeeze of lime
Blend until smooth. This one doubles as a quick afternoon pick-me-up straight from the fridge if you skip the blender and just stir the gel into cold coconut water instead.
3. Strawberry Banana Classic
A familiar, kid-friendly combination using our Strawberry gel.
- 1 tbsp Strawberry sea moss gel (real strawberry purée)
- 1 banana
- ½ cup strawberries, fresh or frozen
- 1 cup milk or plant milk
- 1 tsp honey (optional)
Blend until smooth. This is one of the easiest ways to introduce sea moss to someone trying it for the first time — the flavour is straightforward and the texture is smooth, not chalky.
4. Green Apple Smoothie
A slightly more involved combination for when you want more greens in the mix.
- 1 tbsp Green sea moss gel
- 1 cup kale or spinach
- ½ cucumber
- ½ green apple
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup water or coconut water
Blend until smooth. The apple and lemon cut through the bitterness of the greens, and the sea moss gel adds body without adding sweetness.
5. Berry Protein Smoothie
For anyone adding sea moss to a post-workout routine — note that the gel itself isn't a protein source, so this recipe leans on other ingredients for that.
- 1 tbsp Signature or Strawberry sea moss gel
- 1 scoop protein powder (your usual brand)
- ½ cup mixed berries, frozen
- 1 cup milk or plant milk
- Ice, to taste
Blend until smooth. This is a straightforward way to fold sea moss into a routine you're already running, rather than building a separate ritual around it.
A Few Tips for Better Smoothies
- Add the sea moss gel toward the end of blending so it doesn't get overworked.
- If you like a thicker texture, use less liquid and more frozen fruit.
- Sea moss gel doesn't fully dissolve — a light, slightly gel-like texture in the finished smoothie is normal, not a flaw.
Which Gel to Start With
If you're not sure where to start, our Green gel is the most versatile for savoury-leaning smoothies, and Strawberry or Tropical work well if you'd rather ease in with something sweeter.
